There's a business sector that specializes in moving conservatives sick of California out to NV, AZ, TX, and many other states. They probably got some good business during the pandemic.

There is already a totally organic population shift happening and most of that stuff is being created as a result of the demographics shifting.

Texas and NC are arguably already purple right now, GA just went blue, and I could see TN being purple within a decade due to the explosion of Nashville as a major city. Memphis to a lesser extent too in the last few years.

Even more so now, with the rise of remote work. People with high coastal salaries are going to move to lower COL areas while the iron is hot.

Its happening a lot in Chicago right now. An overall decline in population mostly from black families escaping unsafe neighborhoods in the south and west sides for Atlanta and Nashville. This flight is not being countered by the large influx of people currently moving into the North side of the city.

No right leaning person needs to care, it just has to energize left-leaning people to do something. Right leaning people are a minority kept viable by an extremely gerrymandered House and a Senate that gives 14 Senators to states with less combined population than another state that gets 2. Going after right-leaning voters is a mistake Democrats need to stop making.

But they aren't being ignored anyway. A good chunk are actually for a lot of progressive policy despite the fact they keep voting for people that will never give it to them.

Sometimes I have to wonder, if it's possible to fund relocation from safe blue states to borderline purple states, or even outright outnumber low population red states.

Like, how many people would you need at minimum, then probably with a margin of safety as well.
Then what would it cost to move them, from simple relocation with remote/movable jobs, to as far as just building new cities focusing on desirable amenities if the location doesn't support them already.

Just build high-speed fiber internet in a few of the smallest population states, and just watch these teleworking millennials wanting to buy their 1st home flock there.

It's going to be ridiculous come 2024 when the Republican platform will be "We will make the Trump tax cuts permanent."

Meanwhile everyone forgets or will forget the business tax cut is permanent and of course Repubs have a sunset on the individual taxpayer provisions for 2025 because reconciliation.
