    I didn't pay much attention to NY but my mom (liberal boomer) was praising his response to the pandemic when he tried to get NY under control. She never mentions his name now. Which tbh is a good thing, as it means she was willing to change her mind about him.

    He did an "ok" job during the pandemic and that made him fucking leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else because this country is just that bad off. Though he was also sending infected people up to upstate NY while at the same time having upstate Ny send down all their respirator units to NYC, so upstate NY had no way to handle the infections they started having up there.

    The only metric by which Cuomo's handling of covid isn't a total disaster is "did he close the bars and make you put on the chin diaper" which is a pretty low bar, yet somehow a bar a majority of states still fucked up pretty bad
