If this is going to take place before Ossoff and Warnock are sworn in then they'll need every Democrat and 18 Republicans to join them. I don't think they'll even get 10.

The only alternative is if a vote is called but Republicans don't actually show up, as conviction only calls for a majority of the Senators present.

One of the Capitol police officers took a selfie with someone who was part of the mob that overtook the Capitol and the other wore a "Make America Great Again" hat and started directing people around the building, according to Rep. Tim Ryan, an Ohio Democrat.

The FBI has sent a memo to law enforcement agencies across the country warning of possible armed protests at all 50 state Capitols starting Jan. 16, and also says an armed group has threatened to travel to Washington, D.C., the same day and stage an uprising if Congress removes President Donald Trump from office, according to a senior law enforcement official.

Looks like the impeachment vote will happen tomorrow and is expected to pass. Republicans are not whipping their members and instead telling them to vote their conscience. Schumer is said to be considering utilizing a call to an emergency session that either party leader can use.
