Reagan at one point was considered the most attractive man in the US. During his acting career.
They all look like part of the varsity wedgie & swirlie distribution contingent.

The only thing they still have until a deal are reached are committee chairs, right? They didn't give a fuck about committee rules when ramming Amy Barrett through, so fuck it, Dems have half the seats they can show up and give a hearing to whoever.
There are things I don't understand about the filibuster. A bill needs 60 votes to be filibuster-proof, right? But isn't a simple majority all that's needed to pass any measure unless prescribed otherwise by Senate rules or the Constitution? So are they anticipating that someone will filibuster every single vote that doesn't become filibuster-proof?

I'd imagine part of the majorities job is scheduling votes so that you always have someone ready to filibuster if needed, but you never use it cause the minority knows the filibuster is ready so they don't bother wasting their time.
But yeah, just seems silly considering what the filibuster is. Probably someone explaining the plot of Bridgerton, and how it relates to the bill in question lol

Articles of Impeachment will be sent to the Senate on Monday.
I was about to say we shouldn't label her a Republican, but that is what she is. That said, i think most of them are rolling their eyes at how fucking batshit it is to do this. Picking a fight like this right out of the gate is just going to make anything you touch toxic.
Every time i see her talk, all i can think is:

what does a defense of the filibuster even look like? It seems so obviously undemocratic that I struggle to imagine what a senator could say in favor of it, or how they go on to defend the simple majority required to pass legislation afterward
the raison d'etre was to provide legislative minority rights and prevent tyranny of the majority by enforcing bipartisanship or mandate. this original notion has largely fallen to pieces as the minority party has become intractably obstructionist.
