Not least of all because once you give it to the government, it's not your money anymore. Supplying a tiny fraction of a percent of the federal budget doesn't give you any say in what those dollars are spent on, much less the entire federal budget. Citizenship does. It's a stupid fallacy.

Who the eff cares? So a child who had no choice in being born to a mother that doesn't use protection means that child deserves to starve and be robbed of opportunities because you just don't approve of the parents?

Kids needing help is kids needing help. IDGAF about how fucked up their parents are, I just know for a fact that keeping the bellies of American children full is better for the prosperity of the nation in the long run. Letting these kids starve and lose opportunities actively hurts us in the long run.

i feel like i'm being misunderstood because idk what you are on about salodin. i am not talking about the character of parents or anything like that, i'm talking about the income of their parents/cost of living of the area, being better targeted so we waste less money on people like myself who did not need any assistance but received it anyways, (this applies whether people have kids or not). I live in a DINK ~100k household and would happily have given my stimmy to anyone who needed it more, kids or not. i do hope that makes sense.

obviously and i mean so fucking obviously i shouldn't even have to say it, i think more assistance should be given to a 50k household with kids than one without
