I usually watch like 3-4 series per season at most, this time it's easily double that, though partially since it's a lot of continuations. I'm enjoying them, but I wouldn't really call anything great yet.

Either that or because most of the series really are objectively bad/the 50th repetition of the same tired tropes in a different color that don't bring that much to the table discussion-wise. Considering that there hasn't been that great an influx of new people, it's not exactly unlikely for people to have simply gotten tired of the same stale stuff (minus a few exceptions) and thus, they'd rather abstain from posting unless something really does stand out.
On the other hand, back in the day, we also had plenty of separate threads for different shows. Granted, some of them were fun because it was fun to talk about how outlandish some of the content and storytelling was (Magic Jesus, great thread), but I wouldn't be surprised if these general season-threads have a bit of an adverse effect in that regard seeing how they're 80% about shows no one cares about.
Either way, maybe it has something to do with superior taste, but I wouldn't blame that for the section slowly dying off. Unless, of course, by discussions you mean high fiving each other over how awesome everything is. Would much rather have input from both sides.
It's hard to call if input from both sides when the naysayers, and very frequently the same individuals, are saying some variation of, "This is trash, why are you watching it?" and that it's just a garbage season. This isn't me saying every show is great, but I'd be lying if I said I never withheld from talking about some shows per season precisely because people who had no interest in them would shit up a thread in its early stages. Whether or not a show has ecchi elements can be enough to push some people over that line, forget about the few that border closer on hentai.
Ex-Arm has no excuse, though. Shit away on that dumpster fire.
There's no discourse because when you disagree with the hive mind that maybe some of this shit is old and boring you get basic responses like NUH UH. I don't care what you like and I never have and if you can't handle an opinion that differs from yours you shouldn't really be on a forum. There's a lot of shit this season, if you disagree we could have a conversation but we won't because talking is hard.
Don't act like you don't have an opinion that isn't mindlessly agreeing with someone else. That's why conversation died here, that and because there's nothing to talk about.
Damn you Neverland for doing a recap episode now

https://kimetsu.com/anime/yukakuhen/The "Kimetsu-Sai Online: Anime 2nd Anniversary Festival" special announced on Sunday that Koyoharu Gotouge's Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga is getting a new television anime, Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yūkaku-hen (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc), this year.
Haruo Sotozaki is returning to direct the second season at ufotable, and Akira Matsushima is again designing the characters. The cast from the first television anime season is returning, including Katsuyuki Konishi as Tengen Uzui (pictured in the new anime's key visual above).
Considering the manga has been finished for awhile now I’m surprised it’s taking this long to continue the anime.
As much as I like immediate gratification if taking their time maintains the Ufotable quality I'm ok with it. That being said I may cave and read the manga after movie rips come out.
Its gonna really suck for people who haven't read the manga or seen the movie to go into this 2nd season considering how the movie ends.

Movie is kind of a huge deal if it ends where I think it’ll end heading into season two. The movie itself is still canon and should be watched beforehand.
I am shocked they got FGO team(they do the CM for the mobile Gacha game for Sony) for this.
Toru Iwasawa did this cut
Takahito Sakazume did this cut

The Hololive brand is impressive as fuck. Grew so much in the last year, taking all that growth and just reinvesting it back into the talents. And they've barely tapped into the english market.
Their first generation of english vtubers, 3 of the 5 already broke 1 million subscribers (Gura is already at 2.25, and the other 2 who aren't at 1mil are at like 800k each). Only 8 hololive talents have hit 1mil, and of those 5 JP talents that have, 2 also do a lot of English friendly content. And now they're doing the 2nd round of Eng talents too.
And this latest announcement is gonna start expanding into music videos, mangas, animes, videogames. Crazy growth for a company that a year ago was very very unknown
Oh and their concert last night was dope as fuck
I was just thinking the other day I would not be suprised one bit if Korone or one of the other heavy gaming Hololive members was nominated for trending gamer at the game awards.

They have some hardcore gamers but she's something else entirely lol. Her endurance streams are ridiculous. Astel too from Holostars
I wish I knew when Demon Slayer movie was coming out over here. Can't wait to see it. Been keeping up with Jujutsu Kaisen and its a cool show with pretty fights that remind me of DBZ. Ep 19 fight was cool even if it was cut short for next weeks ep.
Sakuga by Keiichiro Watanabe.
Lockdown has finally reawoke my inner Weeabo. The last month I've been binging various anime.
Bofuri
The Quintessential Quintuplets
Higurashi: When They Cry - New(Still continues to be one of my favorite anime)
Redo of Healer (I like the story but it could really use alot less of the Hentai aspect. I really liked the idea that he reset his timeline in order to get revenge over the people who tortured, raped, and beat him. But I find it harder and harder to want to watch it each week since it seems to be ramping up the Hentai)
Dr. Stone Wars
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2(Just a fun anime)
Jobless Reincarnation
Kakegurui
Assassination Classroom
And some others I cant seem to remember. Any recommends from you guys?
Just as a heads up, if they stay true to the manga (which considering how far they've pushed things already, why wouldn't they), it's only going to get worse. It has one of the worst things I've ever seen happen in a manga.
Manga spoilers for Redo of Healer
Spoiler: show
That's the point where I decided I was about done with the manga.
