CA Gov. Newsom’s recall election is held in about a month. Recall has two questions:
1. Do you want him recalled?
2. Who do you want as gov. if recalled?

If enough people say they don’t want him recalled then 2 doesn’t matter. If more than 50% say he should be recalled whoever has the most votes in #2 gets it. Doesn’t matter how many votes, they could get 1% of the total, but as long as it’s the most compared to the rest on the list, they get it.


Dem strat of dumfuck? They are voting no on #1 and leaving #2 blank or writing in “Newsom” (he is ineligible for #2).

What in the actual fuck dems? Sounds like a repub troll, but nope, Newsom himself is asking people to do this.

Only reason why there is no established Democrat on the recall ballot is because the boogeyman of the Gray Davis recall. At least Davis had a legitimate reason to get recalled.

Yeah, but recent polling (I know not always accurate) has the recall too close for comfort, and we have some real wackos on the ballot if it happens. Last time it happened we got Schwarzenegger, who wasn't that bad. That's not what we're getting this time around.

This really screams Newsom trying to protect himself, which isn't a good look in a tight race.

Not allowed. Brown was able to run for his 3rd and 4th terms on a constitutional technicality since he served his first two terms before term limits were enacted in the 1990s.
