Guess they forgot that, unlike the people they have been talking to, Judges at the federal level read the law... and tend to understand it.
I mean, that's plainly not always the case anymore given the quality of some recent appointments.
I disagree. I think those people do read and understand the law. They just don't care.
Twitter trending with calls for Trump to immediately and extrajudicially reinstated lol

There is a planned rally for September 18th that will demand justice for those that committed the insurrection on January 6th. Attendance is expected to be members of and sympathizers of the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers.
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2021...end-washingtonThe intelligence is based on chatter on online messaging boards, including right-wing social media sites Parler and Gab. A congressional source and a federal law enforcement source told CBS News that Capitol Police leadership and the House Sergeant of Arms discussed the intelligence during a call Wednesday. Capitol Police and D.C.'s Metropolitan Police are planning an all hands on deck approach to the protest, although the size of the crowd expected at this point is not very large.
The intelligence gathered so far suggests 300 to 500 people will attend the event, and some members of Congress have been invited to attend, a federal law enforcement source said. It is not clear whether any members will attend.
"Justice for J6"
The “Justice for J6” demonstration is being organized by Look Ahead America, which is a nonprofit led by former Trump campaign operative Matt Braynard. In late January, Look Ahead America penned a letter to the Department of Justice and the FBI requesting that the entities “drop all charges against non-violent protestors from the January 6th rally at the U.S. Capitol.” Braynard, who authored the letter, defended the hundreds of people charged with federal crimes during the riot by accusing Joe Biden’s law enforcement officials of “[persecuting] the peaceful Trump supporters who entered the Capitol with selective prosecutions based on their political beliefs” and went on to suggest “non-violent” protesters “reasonably believed they had permission” to enter the Capitol complex.
