panthers don't realistically have the capital to get him. its going to take 4ish first round picks to get watson. only the jags, jets, and fins have the ammo to make that kind of trade without giving away their 1st round picks for the next 4 years

other teams can ask, sure, but it isn't a realistic outcome especially since whoever got him would only be paying a small portion of his contract on top of receiving the player (imagine the advantage of having watson for 22m a year, which is what it would be. you'd break the league). so the texans would need the biggest draft haul in nfl history to compensate for eating that contract, or receive a comparable player with a comparable contract as compensation (watson for dak straight up with the cowboys paying an equal amount of daks contract, for example)... at which point, why even bother. find a way to keep your guy
