if he keeps watson around it's the smartest hire in the history of hires

Honestly, it might be better in the long term for the team to trade Watson and recoup some draft capital. Tear it all down and start from scratch. They’re not gonna do shit with him in the next 3-5 years anyways.
from an ownership/money standpoint you always want to keep franchise quarterback that your fan base loves. qbs sell the seats, merch, etc. ... a quarter of all texans fans would boycott houston forever and become fans of whatever team watson goes to, which is the equivalent of flushing a bunch of the owners money down the toilet
most owners barely care if they win games or not, or at best it's secondary. it's about the bucks and watson brings in the bucks
so i guess that’s a no on the head coach hire
BG miracles just keep occurring.
Going back a year ago as a Titans fan, I could not have possibly imagined this. I was literally booking a Houston AIRBNB as they were up 24-0, and now they appear to be bottom dwellers for quite some time.
I know we’ve said it a ton of times, but it really is crazy how the destruction BoB left behind in this organization is going to be felt for a long time.

Confirmed already to have contacted the Texans about a Watson trade:
1. Bears
2. Panthers
3. Jets
Surprised the dolphins and to a much lesser degree the colts aren’t on that list.
