Yea fuck them mining currencies during these climate changing times.
turns out mining anything really fuckin sucks energy wise
Anyone looking at cryptocurrency as anything other than an opportunity to make easy money in a burgeoning field is retarded tbh.
You weren't smart enough to understand whether or not the tech bubble made sense during the ICO days, you're not smart enough to understand this now. Me either. I don't have the time or energy to truly deep dive the use cases and applications and feasibility for each and every country and sector that may apply it or legislate.
Just deal with it. Can't just scan some documents and pretend you understand the entire ecosystem. Boo hoo. Neither can I.
Just shut up and make money or go do something else god damn.

Lets also be real that the only two people in this thread who truly understand anything about tradfi markets are Zet and Boyiee. The rest of you (and me) are just larping through doing our best to make money while not staring too hard at the details.
Big diff so far between past few weeks and 2017/2018. Alts have been much stronger against BTC/ETH dumps. Getting the 5-10% dips on big breaks but nowhere near the overnight 20-30% easy money dips of yesteryear. I only had 1 bid fill overnight on the dump.
It is quickly becoming long your longs season.
Sold 1/8 in 180-190 region. Sells at 220-240 to get me out 60%. 20% more approaching 300. Leaving 20% for Charlie Lee moonbag.Edit: Seth, you still holding LTC? I have a feeling it will pump more.
I understand gambling.
The GME and amc charts being mirror images sure is funny. Where's this squeeze at anyway.
I still want my LC alternative, but I can't find a good one.
Fuck what they've done to the average person's ability to invest.
An IRA.
I have already a retirement fund. I'm talking about things like semi-locked/semi-liquid investments. Primarily, I would not be old enough to pull out of an IRA when my daughter or my son hits college without taking a penalty. Outside of that, I want semi-liquid investments for things like a kitchen remodel someday, or w/e else comes our way.
Essentially, I'm looking for that old-school CD rate of 6% where you only can't use the money for like 5 year or something. CD rates now are sub 1% rofl.
LC's loans were 3-6 years and each month you got your principal+investment from the loans, so I could still access some of it (though mostly turned that back into another loan). It was more risky than a CD, but my return is at 10%. So while I suck at stocks, I was good (or I guess, lucky) at picking out loans.
ETF is the route I went, in addition to the work related stuff.
My personal investments via the credit union are in mutual funds. Can't withdraw for 1 year after opening the account.
Have an IRA via work doing it's own thing.
ETF's still. Like 20%+ return last year lol.
