You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

Guys, don't ever pay off your mortgage. You'll regret having to work 20 hours a week instead of 60:

I don't know what I'd do with an extra $382/mo. Yes that's how much my mortgage is.

My maintenance is $750 though. My car pmt is more than my mortgage lol.

But I'd still rather have another $382 in my pocket a month. My desire to save prob not gonna be impacted.

I read this the other day too and scoffed at their reasoning. I was excited to see something useful and it turned out to be this nonsense. I was hoping it was some type of diversification/investment piece. What a laugh.

You can't get better interest than a mortgage. Better off just putting money in some sort of interest bearing account and just paying the mortgage with the interest.

I think that article reads well for maybe 5-10% of the population. At best. And that’s just based on motivation to keep working and ability to pay off mortgage. It isn’t even sound money use or investment advice.

Yeah it really is a piece that is a a good sign of capitalist propaganda. Like it is seriously saying working less hours and taking a vacation is a negative to paying off your mortgage early. It doesn’t address an investment to payment ratio at all.

    What a garbage article lol.

That’s up there with those “This 24 year old has a million dollar business!” headlines where in the third paragraph you learn she got a 2 million dollar loan from her parents and hasn’t paid it back.

I was hoping to read about this one little trick the IRS doesn't tell you about your mortgage loan and all I got was some pretentious stay hungry bullshit from people who make more in passive income than I do with my job and passive income combined. Eat the rich.

Or just keep fucking working instead of whining about how you accomplished your goal, took a vacation, and don't know what to do with yourself now that you completed your goal. Entire article is just retarded as fuck.

I have my money in a number of different wallets so gains aren’t easily processed in my mind as I flip through apps, but I’m up about $12k over the past week and it feels pretty good.

Still a lot of open trades that are in profit waiting to hit expected target. I think this coming week will be a shifting around of a lot of my short term positions.

I do like a good bull market.

Yeah it's clearly written by and for the rise-and-grind / "Rich Dad" mindset psychos.

It's very funny that those people get fixated on paying off their mortgages because they want to focus their energy on accumulating income-generating assets and therefore hate their mortgage for not being that - but that's counterproductive because their low interest rate mortgage should be the last thing to spend extra money on. Buy more income-generating assets instead!

Turns out making money for the sake of just making money is super duper boring and demotivating once you have all your basic needs tended to.

    I am very shocked.

The wife and I already have plans for when we get ahead enough. Gonna invest in some local businesses, I want to open a taco stand at the beach and only run it for breakfast, gonna dump some serious cash into a weed store or two I think. I would bet we're probably like 3-4 years from being able to do it if things go right. She will probably "retire" and start writing full time and I'll keep working until we hit our second milestone in like 10-12 years.

I expect the world to end before then so who knows.
