Best analogy I can come up with...
The big players.in the market are like the mob and they don't like people looking into their business dealings. Tomorrow morning will be interesting.
Today was a good day to pick up more crypto, btw.
Even suggesting another stock exists on WSB gets you community banned right now lol
I've been thinking about that, but I have a brokerage account that I do ETFs through: What's the most seamless, idiot proof way to invest in crypto? Friend tried to explain it to me years ago before I knew more about investing. I've been taking whatever profits I have from GME and putting them in my Vanguard long hold ETFs.
Coinbase and buy BTC or ETH. I can't promise you it'll never dip or that there won't be a bear market, but if you just lock it up for a year or three you'll be very thankful you did. Can just set up like a weekly $50 buy or something so if it does go into a bear market you just get more for your money.
$40,000 is likely not the top, but it may be for the next few months. A lot of people are expecting ETH to go to $2k+ in the coming months, myself included.
So if I am understanding things correctly, we should sell on Friday, right? At Market Open or just before it closes or what?

No, you buy and you hold and there is no exit strategy. You’ve learned nothing.
(Sell when you want. Nobody is going to tell you when that is.)
honestly it's all fun to watch from the sidelines
also free money
I mentioned earlier that liberal news outlets are trying to pin this on Trump supporters (lol). Here's a CNN article that does just that:
https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/27/polit...ism/index.html
CNN must be losing a lot of money on this.
Except that this time, amateur investors decided to revolt against the pros. Using Reddit -- and a subreddit known as r/wallstreetbets -- the amateurs began a coordinated effort of buying GameStop stock to drive its price higher and higher. (It's worth noting that Reddit was also a gathering spot for some of the most ardent Trump supporters in 2016.)
That effort to screw the pros -- people with a short position on a stock that is surging have major vulnerabilities the higher the stock goes -- got an unexpected boost from none other than iconoclast-in-chief and Tesla founder Elon Musk, who tweeted "Gamestonk!" with a link to the "wallstreetbets" subreddit on Tuesday.
(Musk has also been a longtime critic of social media censoring and was a prominent Covid-19 skeptic. Sound like anyone else we know?)
I mean, that excerpt isn't wrong. reddit was home to TheDonald and other cesspits. Whether or not it's related, that's a whole different story tho
and honestly who gives a shit what any news outlet is saying
Reddit is home to far more left than right lmao. Someone invested in CNN is just losing their ass.
Well, two things:
1. You could say that about literally any website. Even BG. So saying "It's worth noting" is just pandering to fearmongering people away from buying the stocks.
2. While it's not a shock, it is always fun to point out media manipulation. Especially when it indicates the rich media CEOs are crying.
There is quite a significant degree of unity among most people in their disdain of Wall Street.
