Did y'all go to Coco Bongo while at Playa del carmen?
We went to iberostar Grand pariso so I think. they have like three to five resorts all right next to each other but that one is the highest end and adult only. We We went to the city of playa del Carmen and to Chichen itza as an excursion and it was an all day thing. They don't let you climb up the pyramids anymore either I guess people fall It is pretty freaking steep.
We looked at every all-inclusive in the Caribbean honestly, came down to that one and one in Dominican Republic. You just couldn't beat the price of $3300 We booked it through Expedia so flight was included and it ended up being discounted which was the deciding factor. And like I said I opened a Bank of America travel card which had "spend 3,000 in first 3 months get 300 back" so that was easy. This was in 2017 I think so I'm sure prices are different but flights to Florida are $11 right now from NJ so maybe there's covid discounts. You could book really well in advance.
Fuck it, just do Hedonism 2 in Jamaica
About the identity thief thing. Do any of these resorts have a system like they do in Disney/Universal. Where you get a hotel card and it pretty much works at all local locations. I LOVED that i never had to take my ID/CCs out during that vacation. It's another reason i tend to only do all-inclusive vacations, as i hate walking around places i don't know with things that can be stolen.
The one time we went into Playa del carmen we brought the bare minimum, no one ID's you and we used cash only eating at actual places.
There was a pizza joint there called Pizza Pazza that was S tier.
Probably reschedule Greece for next year. Next trip is a group Japan one. Feel free to show up!
Although I didn't think to get a cheeseburger in Paris either and that was bomb. The pizza in Nice was the best I've ever had in my life and we have some damn good pizza here.
The best food I've ever had in France was a Mexican taco spot:

This place in Mezilles is a far 2nd place:

I've been to a handful of Michelin restaurants there, but French food is just trash. Lack of flavor, never salted properly, and texture like oatmeal.
Like the Spanish food is better than Barcelona lol.
That reminds me of going to a French restaurant in China once. It was the grand opening and got invited. I asked for a menu not in Chinese and they handed me the only other menu, in French. Just randomly pointed at something.
