Honestly probably 90% to 95% of people would use this. People are absolutely terrified of doing it and building computers is the vast minority.

What kind of master race cuck is learning how to build a PC at a Gamestop in 2021?

The internet exists, the guides are there, you can order all your shit from Amazon and Newegg, I'd never built one before and put together my editing rig np 3 years ago.

This kind of thing works in places like Mexico/China because you have a lot of low income people who don't have a PC at home, don't have space for it, or can only afford to play this way. I highly doubt this lasts unless they have some really good tournament structure with decent payouts.

I think we have to remember the type of people we are, and it just isn't the norm.

Vast majority of my students are console gamers because a PC is way too expensive. And the reality is, until you are in college, you don't need a computer at all due to smart phones giving you internet. And even then, having a chromebook + gaming console is still going to be way cheaper than a computer.

And Boyiee is right, if you didn't grow up around computers, the idea of building one can sound terrifying.

People act like my husband is literally a god because he custom built our computers. I don't bother mentioning that before I met him, I did my own upgrading to my computer.




Xennials are this weird generation where we grew up with computers being the only option for a lot of shit, so we learned a lot about computers then. It's easy to assume that must mean the gen pop is like that, too. But we didn't have smart phones. Smart phones did really replace a lot of what a computer does, so younger generations don't bother getting them unless it's for writing papers.

It's not only the older/younger generation. Among my friends, only me and 2 of my friends actually know how to build a computer, so everyone always asks us to do it for them. And it's not only the three of us that are gamers. Most people are content buying a computer rather than building it themselves.
