So I made an e-trade account and tossed $500 into it, I kinda think I'm too late for Gamestop, am looking at AMC, but the bid price is $8.xx while asking price is $14.xx, the wide difference is making me not want to mess with it. Where can I find the information on how shorted a stock is so I can pretend to have an idea of where I'm throwing my money away at?

Also considering AMC a little more because even if it doesn't explode now, there is a real chance it'll rebound once vaccine is fully out and go up in price and a year or so ago the stock was at $30~, so it may be a safe-ish longer investment anyway.

If you can afford it, consider some extremely otm options for the longshot.

Unless Gamestop fires most of the people above store level and does a 180 on the Gamestop culture we've hated for over a decade, it doesn't matter.
