the ride must truly be over
If you are a sex worker, legal or otherwise, do not use Chase. Just saying. I have read many stories recently, especially during the pandemic, about Chase being very heavy-handed in exercising their "morals" clause of your contract and shutting you out of your account. It's shitty and I won't be banking with Chase anytime soon because of it.
I use Citizens but I am grandfathered in to a really old checking/savings plan that has better benefits than current I think idk.
Boyiee is dancing for dollars.
I mean, in general I do think it is a really important thing to consider. Is your bank shitty? Just like I wont bank at BoA because of their overdraft policies despite not having overdrafted an account in 15 years.
If it comes out tomorrow that Citizens bank is closing accounts of like...anyone who was at a BLM march I'll take my business elsewhere. I certainly am not going to support a bank just shutting down accounts willy-nilly because the money comes from some single mom showing her tits on onlyfans.
BOA can go fuck itself in the depths of hell. I don't know why anyone would even consider them.
I mean, I use a local bank because I knew the bank president growing up and he gave me good loans when no one else would when I got out of High School. It's taking a lot to move away from that loyalty lol
For me...
Schwab - Checking account for sweet no ATM fees (even international), Brokerage Account (tiny play money)
Wells Fargo - Checking account, still use it for depositing checks & money orders (I guess I could use Schwab to deposit checks now, but I still kinda like this account for money order deposits if I ever get back into MS)
Chase - Credit cards, UR points hub
Amex - Credit cards, MR points hub
Fidelity - Work 401k, HSA, soon to be IRA as well (work allows for automated mega backdoor, which I want to start doing)
Vanguard - Current IRA, may move to Fidelity, or may just leave what's there there (process takes too fucking long and I hate pulling out of the market)
Other banks - thanks for letting me churn your credit cards and bank account bonuses <3
edit: Forgot, Ally - HYSA
I've had the same bank account for 20 years, but about 15 years ago BOA bought my local bank and I never switched out.
I do use Chase credit cards for those sweet reward points though.
So when is everyone holding weed stocks going to sell? Also, what weed stocks is everyone in?
I got in on Tilray yesterday and am already up 24% but that kind of rise seems .... sketchy.
Blah. Thoughts on long term? I have a 50c 2022 one that still seems reasonable to keep holding.
I have Citi and have been so lazy about changing it over despite the closest Citi location being 40 miles from my house.
Was going to change checking to Chase with a savings at my local credit union. Change my main credit card over to Wells Fargo for a higher limit, 0% interest on transfers for 18 months.
Some of my family uses penfed and they've been pretty solid. Credit union means less in the way of branch availability, though. Not sure if that's a factor for you.

2 movies already in the works lol
I use BoA because the linked Intuit payroll is cheap and easy for my LLC and I've rarely had a problem with fees - but if I was paycheck to paycheck or something I definitely wouldn't use them. For high-yield savings I use Capital One 360 Money Market, but the interest rates are absolute shit basically everywhere for HYS right now.
Nowhere is even paying 1%. It's all shit right now.
