I like the last part ...
"If you ever have any doubt or question about this commitment, please talk with your manager..."
Yeeeah. No.

Being anti-union is so weird to me. It seems like a scam from HR to keep finding things for them to do. Can't we just designate one person to speak to about everything? Nope! Gotta deal with each employee individually.
i don't know what unions do but all the whiniest people i know like them which is enough for me to oppose them.
I dunno how Costco treats employees, but I work in banking for their escalated CEO/Executive credit card complaints, and Costco are absolutely wild with what they will do for customers. Had a case a year ago or so where someone got screwed out of $25k in Crystal Cruises reservations. Word came down from Costco that they'd cover every cent for the customer. That's the most egregious example that comes to mind, but I've seen them cover customer's poor financial responsibilities multiple times. The funest one was a guy who disputed a strip club charge because the stripper bled on him. I hope that $300~ refund from Costco was worth his continued patronage.
I have always heard that Costco (+Trader Joe's) are good places to work at basically any level.
I love Costco and also support unions. Is this what being bisexual is like?
Could go in Climate Change but I'm going to put it here because it's going to affect a lot of people.

So terrible
Good thing Dems are as terrible as always at messaging or Biden could hammer everyone with the economic and unemployment figures. Instead I get to keep hearing how this is the worst economy since mankind first started hoarding shiny rocks.
He's been trying to message that but people just don't believe the economy is doing well because it doesn't accord with their feelings. People notice negatives like the cost of groceries and gas more than wage growth.
Like there's articles about how people just aren't willing to acknowledge improvements in the economy

the decades-long rise in unaffordability re housing and healthcare hollowing out the dreams of a generation are also huge factors contributing to a negative economic yrrr
since the 08 collapse there has only been a brief 2-year period between 2018-2020 where the Gallup Economic Confidence Index was +25 or higher. otherwise it's 15 straight years of being underwater or marginal ambivalence. 2 brutal recessions and long-term unalloyed structural problems with fundamental tenets of existence in housing + health have made multiple generations congenitally predisposed to viewing their economic outlooks negatively, on top of which is added things like parochial outlooks (if gas high how can economy be good), and the usual Foxish propaganda (Democrats hate energy as Biden administration oversees more oil production than any nation in human history).
I mean if the economy is improving is it not a function of higher prices? And if wages already to have grown to all but the most vocal, who feel their wages haven't outpaced price hikes, how do you convince them things are good?
Maybe, just maybe, the metric for success isn't "what the numbers look like" but something a little less esoteric like "can I get a house" or "can I go on vacation" or "am I out of debt"?
Alright you keep touting the cake for the masses to eat.
I'm not worried about me, but I'll tell you no amount of telling people "the economy is strong look at this shit yo" will convince them the practical things they want are within their reach.
everybody likes cake Kuro
