I had been gearing up my professional career to push for more mass timber construction and this had put a big damper on my choices. Glad to see it go down. Get those forests planted, Canada!!
My parents are actually looking at having a house built, and I haven't really been keeping up with things, but that's a good sign in term of their potential expenses right?
There are other building materials they can utilize, but a generic light frame wood building will be cheaper per sqft assuming the local prices drop (i.e. supply continues to increase).

Wonder how that has to do with people having to re-apply for UI with PUA's ending across the states. I had to 're-apply' a week and a half ago, even though I still haven't gotten my claim from back in December yet...
