Let’s just be real. They are all good. I had one of the lemon ones for the first time ever a few months ago and my first thought was - of course these are great.

This is the first week where states have begun cutting off unemployment extensions. I think just 4 states for this week but another ~20 will over the next month.

Really hoping for some kind of change with it ending. Slave labor for slave pay, drive 45 minutes to and from work, 10-12 hour days plus weekends and unpaid lunch with 2 paid sick days a year needs a radical change.
It won't, but one can hope anyway.
It changes if you change it. Unprecedented demand for labor right now, if you aren't happy in your job you should definitely be looking for a new one.
I don't mean any singular person I mean in general. Too many people willing to jump through excessive hoops just to live. That's not living.
And no change can ever happen because no matter how many try to take a stand there's 10 desperate enough to replace them. It all thrives on desperation and exploitation.
Yep. Got into this discussion on my states subreddit about the UI bonus ending. As long as there are people desperate enough to work the job, it's always a race to the bottom. And with automation only increasing, that's going to be basically forever, barring mass death or something.
I have heard of some businesses promising a 2k or more sign on bonus.

Yeah, it's so easy to say "get another job" but people need money and are desperate to take the first job they can get. Not everyone has the backing to "pick and choose" and therefore companies always win.
I do think you will find "some" companies paying better to start to get their workforce back to normal, but as inflation rises, those companies are going to balance out to being back to the way they were before.

I don't know what will end up coming from it, but more people will probably get fucked. Michigan basically made (everyone?) re-certify their entire PUA claims. Up to 35 weeks, make a mistake or fail to do it and you can bet there is going to be many more people with the "surprise you owe us the entire amount back".
