Uhh just so we are very clear. what i said was not actual advice and you shouldn't lie to investors.

I definitely think it really boils down to what Guitarman said:
A play that usually works in this regard for me: Often the interviewer will ask a "Tell me about a time when..." or "How would you do this..." question. Use these questions as an opportunity to expand on some experience that you have in your (hopefully tailored to the job you're interviewing for) resume, and how that equips you to perform in this hypothetical scenario they're asking about.
The other thing that always gets me when I participate in interviewing people is always have questions. Even if they're not super specific, but just having questions to ask at the end, or as they organically come up in the conversation is huge. Specific questions about culture/pace/that kind of thing usually hit well, but even innocuous things like "what kind of hardware does company xyz use? Mac or Windows?". Just asking enough to show that your interested in learning more about the company beyond just wanting to get a job (even if that is what it boils down to is just wanting a job lol). So many people don't ask a single question, and that's always a yellow/red flag for me.
Adding to this; having been an interviewer a few times in my career now, the candidates that tend to shine the most (all other things being equal; e.g. competence/etc.), someone that shows a genuine interest in working with the org, or specifically the team itself stands out.
Not sure how true it holds for others, but something I find that sometimes candidates will go in with a sense of imposter syndrome/did they make a fluke on bringing me in.
I just tell them "interviews suck so much time out of my day that I'm not wasting my convening the panel, coordinating everyone's schedules and sitting in these meetings for someone I wouldn't consider hiring".
