Biden Boom = people entering the job force that were forced out of employment due to covid Trump, correct?
People maxing out their claims and unemployment benefits so no longer qualify for unemployment and are just plain not working now and not counting against weekly claims.
I am better off now than I was a year ago![]()

I still can't get through to California UI after finishing my job before Thanksgiving, it's a conspiracy to deprive me of $450/week
I'm going with no, not buying it.
If you own a home, and/or have a solid $50k+ income, sure things might be on the way to better.
If you're the minimum wage type, not so much. And you might be able to get hours right now, but working conditions are getting shittier and shittier.
Yea, this shit is about to come tumbling down starting in Feb...
Ok.
Now how about rent prices since the beginning of the year? Food prices? Gas/Transportation prices?
You can cheerlead all you want. I'm telling you, things aren't better down here.
So how about that 6.8% inflation rate right now? Highest rate of inflation in 40 years. All wage gains are p much wiped out.
WE DID IT, WAGES ARE GOING UP!!!!
Except so are expenses, so nobody gives a shit if wages go up once a) tax season rolls out and b) once CTC payments and forbearances expire.
I'm really hoping for at least a 10% raise at the end of the month and a fat bonus too. Last year with COVID the company made the decision that no one would lose their job or take a salary cut, but no raises/bonuses was the trade off.

over a year of wage growth destroyed by inflation, rough go America
This will be the first time my COLA raise doesn't cover inflation as it's only a 3.5% bump. Got my yearly in February though, and that could net me up to a 5% bump.
so im hearing there are new stimulus checks coming?
No, that's just Google and Yahoo trying to get clicks.
