Y'all keep going on about jobs and wages while ignoring how shit keeps increasing in price disproportionately.

Edit: same
tbh milk should cost more, lotta yall fat
People with my undergrad BFA from my school (Film and Television from UW-Milwaukee) have expected earnings at age 45 of $39,000.
Guess I'm just built different
(or my income is going to tank in the next 4 years)
Doesn't the govt subsidize milk prices by paying farmers?
My grocery bills have been insane and me and my fiance weigh a total of 270 LBs combined.
I also work in Logistics and the shipping rates have gone down drastically since Dec/Jan/Feb/Mar along with trucking demand.
Would think prices would have gone down a little bit in past few months, but corporations rather profit than drop prices. Once the price of something hits X dollars, and the public accepts that price, it's easier to keep it there or bring it back again.
In economics they call this "stickiness"
Your shipping rates have gone down?
Canadaland here and they've skyrocketed and only going up as Spring/Summer go along
Oh wow, here because of fuel surcharges (whether single box by couriers or LTL/Truck shipments) they've jumped stuuuuupidly.
Like stuff to/from Laredo to Edmonton has gone from 20-25% fuel surcharge to 70% on some quotes and lolno. And they've only steadily increased as the year has gone on.
Same applies for just shipments within Canada because of fuel prices.
edit: That doubled, sorry![]()
Edit: For some reason my post doubled too :/
Yeah fuel is a killer. I’m pretty sure you have it even worse in Canada too.
Fuel was cheaper, but demand was sky high in Q4 and Q1 (Atleast in the US).
Was hard to get trucks for some of the locations I ship to and I have 6-7 brokers/carriers I work with.
Back in December, for some locations I was getting a 30:1 order-to-truck ratio.
Edit: 3 of us in a row just double posted?? Server issues?
