I'm within the same Metro area, but I moved across state for College (plus I've traveled to other countries that aren't resorts in Mexico or the Caribbean)

I moved 380 miles away, then 2003 miles away and now 2800 miles away. Next stop is Europe!
Born in Germany, moved to Arizona, then to North Carolina, back to Arizona, Ohio for a couple of years, New York, and then bouncing back and forth between Maryland and New York about two more times each. That also includes moving within each state, I think I figured out once that on average I move every 4 years.
That sounds like... a lot...
I've been meaning to change dr's for like 3 years, but I'm too lazy.
so you can't be president
The ole Ted Cruz workaround.
At 25, I moved 400 miles away, and 10 years later I moved right back. FML
Even had I not been born on a military base, both my parents are American citizens and I hold no dual citizenship, which has been enough to confer natural-born status for others.

I am part of the 10%, but the 100-500mi 10%. I think the stats are a little disingenuous, though. DC is less than 500 miles from Boston (Philly, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and NYC in between), which means a tremendous amount of the country's population lives within 500 miles of each other.
I would have to move to Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, or the west coast to get out of the 500mi range.
The more interesting stat would be something more like "within 20 miles vs. not"
This is especially true with European nations, where just moving 500 miles puts you in entire new countries and cultures. America is so fucking spread out that you can go 1,000 miles and feel like you went nowhere, or take a 20min train along the east coast and see wildly different cities and towns.
i am afraid of people who have not been more than 20miles away from their home, are they hobbits? is this the shire?
Grew up in SoCal. Left SoCal because it's SoCal.
Washington has so much more rain and clouds and not deadly sun lasers.
