The cafeteria is available due to the exploitation of profit from the employees that makes it a "free perk". If Google didn't make so much money it wouldn't exist. If Oranges suddenly became so expensive then don't offer oranges/juice. Doesn't mean the whole cafeteria is suddenly some fat that needs to be trimmed. It isn't like Google gets nothing back for having "perks" like that either.

MillerKnoll CEO has video of her leaked where she is telling employees to suck it up over their concern that they didn't get bonuses this year. The CEO's total compensation was $5 million this year including $1 million cash bonus and other non liquid bonuses. The message itself isn't all that unique or surprising as it happens all the time but the video and her speech is just terrible and delivered in a horrible way. The CEO to average worker ratio at that company is 111:1 with respect to pay.
