One thing I'm really wondering about with this strike is if/when it ends if the studios will actually have to give hard numbers on what their streaming viewership, which studios are always purposefully obtuse about.
Residuals based off viewership and the transparency needed to know those numbers is one of the key things the strike is about.

it would be nice. it's fuckin ridiculous we still have to use nielsen ratings or one of the other readings to get a number now when i assume the streaming services should know pretty much exactly how many households watched what and for how long

I think they need to rework the metrics they use, imo. It's long overdue. It's like measuring the success of a campaign with landlines when 95% of the population is using cellphones.
