Well, I'm done. Feeling kinda sad that this chapter is over.

I always use Trusts for my first run for the extra lore bits. Don't mind spending more time clearing it for the story cause it normally pays off.

just got to the first trial. was wondering why anima and magus sisters weren't trials... guess it's cause we skip right to the final boss instead

I feel there was a severe pacing issue here, almost no setup for what was to come they just said plop here you go and fuck you.

Got my Paladin armor. Sucks a bit the dye regions aren't on the metal since I'd love to brighten it a bit.

god this morning's queue at 30 was a thing of beauty

edit: yep, kicked out at 2.5k. managed to get back in queue in time to keep my spot though

go into your apartment, private house, or fc room and lock the door, tie a rubber band down on your controller stick and go to bed or use some sort of software to create an infrinite loop macro to hit ctrl every few minutes and don't deal with it anymore. The enviornment can take a small hit to leave your pc/ps4-5 on.

Nahh, I get up early enough to avoid the queues, what got me was getting dced in the middle of a dungeon run for no reason, could not get back on for the rest of the day.

The start had some weird pacing, but Thavnair is a really cool area in my book.
Garlemald was nice, except two stupid single duties...
The fifth zone was amazing, some people might complain about the amount of dialogue and cutscenes but I loved all the lore bombs.
Bu the final zone was rather disappointing to me story wise:

It was painfully obvious from the beginning that we will bring all of them back so their "sacrifices" didn't really have any emotional weight. This almost felt like a season finale of Sailor Moon, when all of them sacrifice themselves one after another so of often, but she always revives them after that. Sure, it was gripping as a kid the first time, but now such trops are pretty boring.

I agree with that, but the whole ambience of Ultima Thule was awesome, the final dungeon and trial, then that solo fight with Zenos afterwards, that all just ticked most of my boxes. And wrapping everything up with the Scions “disbanding” so we can start fresh for the most part.

Yeah, the rest I agree with, I just expected something more exciting when traversing that last bit.
Also, there's really some annoying gameplay stuff in this expansion, like the follow and hide quests or big ass quest area markers where you're looking for some hidden stuff...
Overall, it was a strong experience, but I don't think it beats 5.0 for me.

Lucky. I gave up after my numbers were still at 1/0/0 for tanks/heals/dps after 30 minutes. Trying again real soon.

Damn. 30+ minute ETA again.

I saw people just going 8 tanks and clearing the trials, lol. Both PLD and WAR are basically healers this expansion

Not surprised with PLD. Clemency is nuts at 80.

Said fuck it and went with an 8 man tank team. Fell off the ledge and 3 of us died but the other 4 tanks carried while I called out mechanics. Good shit.
