Ohh, I think I actually got them mixed then. Was pretty late when I was watching that and I assumed it was Elidibus since he mentioned seeing us and then in the scene he mentions Pandeamonium, my brain forgot they said it was Lahabrea that will be with us there. But I still feel like it was Elidibus voice... At least very similar. Looking at it again, you're probably right and it is Elidibus though I guess Amourat kids look mighty adult like. The only ancients with white robes are the ones that hold the seat of Elidibus or those that stick around after leaving any of the other seats, which is very few of them since they usually die afterwards.

I really do hope the lobby issues are resolved with that maint. This has been a long standing problem, but it was never to this constant degree where the queue is always at 1k+ (assuming you weren't on a WoW-streamer server as of the last few months).

Also y'all talking like the msq doesn't have any actual filler, but there was quite a few moments they could have slimmed down on dialog/moping about a given location.

The pacing in any location where you were stuck in that location start to finish felt like the worst offenders for me. For me it didn't help that MSQ gives you enough XP to basically coast on MSQ alone, which means you get to do hardly any combat unless you want to spend time doing the side-quests on alt classes so it's not wasted XP, but then that just prolongs you reaching the part of the game where it goes "Ok now you can gear up w/ tomes". Here's to hoping 7.0 disconnects the MSQ from player progression so I don't feel compelled to have to keep pushing in a singular direction until that state is met.

I did not feel the driving force of the Final Days at all. This wasn't what I was expecting. Never felt like the game ever hinted at there being a third source of energy previously but it's also been years.

Also didn't help that the second I saw blue-chick my brain immediately went "Ok how is this going to get corrupted and when's the Trial for it". It going full anime with that power-of-friendship trope they beat you over the head along with "You can't have happiness w/o suffering", and Venat being a hypocrite in the end didn't help.

For whatever reason their Youtube upload is of far worse quality than what's provided on the 1.0 client. We're talking the difference between the new upload looking like it's running at compressed 480p even w/ the 1080p option, vs. the original being crisp at the 720p it was sampled for.

How old was Elidibus when he joined the convocation? You’re talking like he’s a 7 year old kid when he joined.

I can’t remember them ever saying how old he was when he joined, just that he was the youngest one and often referred to as a young man. He could still be an adult, like the equivalent to an 18 year old.

To an Ascian, 200 might be a “young man” when the others are 700 years old.

They never really mentioned an age and given that his voice is very much an adult, it's just conjecture based on his model being strikingly shorter and more child height than the rest of the ancients.

Thinking on it, I don't think I agree with the idea that the Final Boss/cause of the Final Days was a new character, it was essentially a mistake by Fandaniel, so Fandaniel and his actions/failures were responsible for everything.

I'm not sure I even understand the complaint. We've known about the "noise" for a while, but we really had no indication of what it could have been. It was inevitably going to be something we weren't familiar with. And we were teased with the idea that life outside of hydaelen had wiped itself out in some capacity as far back as stormblood iirc, so there was some degree of setup for the event that gave birth to it
