Let's not act like Deejay is wrong or shouldn't be annoyed. He came hard with the touch grass but if you're purposely cheesing the afk timer when you're not even at your computer, just deal with the fact the only justification you have is, "got mine, fuck them". It is what it is and we'll just have to deal with it for another 4 weeks when it starts to die down.
Why would I be mad at that? Queue's suck, I get it. I want to stay logged in as well, and I'm sorry you lack the mental fortitude to not make a bad situation even worse. I can't speak for the nerds on reddit but I will definitely poke fun at said weird behavior. Y'all stay safe tho
I mean, your position also implies people shouldn't (1) Eat dinner unless they can do it in less than 30 minutes; (2) feed their baby, unless it takes less than 30 minutes; (3) do a household chore, unless it takes less than 30 minutes. For instance, I got logged out last Friday because it took me 31 minutes to drive up the street and pickup drive-thru for my wife and I. Last night I had to get up and go twiddle my thumbsticks in the middle of feeding our newborn.
I can't believe people are shitting on behavior to protect themselves from being logged out in those situations.
Some of yall are way to quick to get mad at the wrong people. Maybe SE shouldn't of been cheap when trying to acquire new parts for servers.
While i am loath to get into a shitshow, do you have -any- idea what a complete clusterfuck getting high end tech components has been the last 1.5 years + change? it practically doesn't matter what you want to pay (unless you're batshit insane), the hardware isn't there, the waiting lists are loooooong. Customers are waiting half a year + for servers, and that's mainstream basic stuff.
I hope this was bait
I say we raid the allocated servers reserved for the Australian data center.

I'd also say there's a difference between a longer than average break and keeping yourself on 24/7. Even if it's just 500 people per server, that's like a 30m wait minimum.
Bold of you to assume you can stay in forever and not inevitably get R0ed. Im not even staying in 24/7 just during 1-3 hour periods to run routes for work.
The server bit?
Anyway with the dust settled in my head for EW while I did enjoy it I did have one minor complaint.

I wish Yoishi P would of recreated that one meme and threw the guy who came up with the tailing missions out the window.

My favorite Endwalker memes so far, both using same format. Don’t click unless you’ve finished EW.

My only gripe with ques is I only have time to play from 12am-2amish two days a week, if I don't start logging in around 10-11pm I'm screwed and I can't always do that. I haven't been max level since arr, I'm only in 70s in stormblood and just want to finish the stories and get to cap. Would love it if new servers opened I could transfer to or a way to do it offline but it is what it is.
Remoting in doesn't really work for me, I basically have to run the game in the background and hope it doesn't crash me or I don't crash it.
Took me about 2 hours to get in with 2 2002s. Wonder how long it will be like this before things are stable.
Dicks will be dicks but the real one boning people is SE; some people just don't mind throwing shit, from the pen, while it's going on.
Server's have been full on Excalibur since before summer, as there's been a small queue whenever you log on, so there's no way SE didn't see this coming and either chose to, or couldn't do anything about it. Given Japan's track record of programming on PC, I wouldn't be surprised if incompetence was the root cause, but you can either bitch or bypass it, but it's up to you to decide what you do.
Yoshi P has gone on record several times saying how the boom in popularity took them all by surprise, they had already installed new servers for Endwalker but the sudden boom plus scarcity of materials and international travel restrictions, they knew it was going to be rough. They’ve said they’ve even tried to buy servers for over market value but just couldn’t find them to buy.
