Not quite, he says he doesn’t want to do Savage on stream (will still do extreme trials) because chat gets stupid with people trying to “help” and wiping for three hours does not make for good content. For example when he spent most of the night raiding Savage Alex his view count got down to around 35k when he has been a consistent 100k+ views playing XIV. People want to see him do MSQ and not spend 3 hours wiping on six year old content.

Savage and PotD. He ate a huge serving of humble pie. He has reached the content he can't just face roll through, so he's learned this stuff takes a lot of prep and work.

Sounds like he still loves the game but got too stressed from people in chat constantly trolling and telling him what to do and it overwhelmed him. He put too much pressure on himself imo first by saying he wanted to clear ultimate and then get necromancer title and it’s like...he brought it on himself, everyone told him not to,. Now he is talking about canceling his 10k sub bet. Which, whatever, his mental health obviously takes precedence but feels like this is like 80% his fault and 20% his mentor chat.

I've always watched him with chat off the screen. Its the only way I could watch a stream like his. Seeing 100k flying memes and omegalulz has always and will always be stupid, but that's also how he makes his fat stacks, so it is what it is. I'm enjoying the humble pie he's eating, but I've also enjoyed his journey of taking these fights seriously and the respect he's gained for the difficulty of the fights. This shit ain't easy.

Yeah agreed. I do feel bad for him. Having 50k+ people watch you while doing the hardest content in a game you started two months ago must be horribly stressful. He did kind of jump head first into the deep end without learning to swim. Does sound like he wants to enjoy the social aspects of the game and give it more exposure. I'm glad he's not taking the loss and running. He's picking himself back up and trying to find enjoyment.

Yeah the 10k sub bet is off. Said he is still gonna work on POTD cause he genuinely likes it. Says he might do Savage on his 2nd stream out of character. He is really enjoying the story now and felt like savages and the bet was just looming too much over him and the stream.

Asmon (off stream) just died on floor 115 lol and says he's giving up (for now). He wanted to prep that save for some content tomorrow on stream, but that went out the window. We'll see how he responds on stream tomorrow. I think he just feels demotivated all of a sudden (a normal feeling for solo POTD runs) and just decided fuck it lol (since it's not fun to do the climb again)

His approach to potd is only going to lead to frustration with failure, running two files at the same time for if something stupid happens to one you're not entirely out of the game is the best way to approach it, even if it takes that much longer. Running from 0 to however far and getting sent back to 0 isn't going to help you much, by the time you get back there you've likely forgotten why your careless mistakes killed you.
