Thanks for posting that because my auto play sent me to a fire KREAM set (https://youtu.be/LUeHFSkbLlo?si=K-sU8fOsSCeeLTep)
Underpowered is a bit of a misnomer. It is going to be punching above its weight despite the specs. The purpose built OS, lack of excessive overhead and "purpose built" hardware will do that. It's not going to be doin 4090 shit, but it'll perform better than machines you can build of the same spec. I cannot speak to the cost, but short of buying the equivalent parts in sales, I bet the cost will be equivalent or cheaper than parts you can buy. The cheap bazzite machine I'm building probably will cost around 300 GBP if I'm judicious, and it won't match this in specs. Not something I'd want to game on (unless I was streaming it from my PC), but enough to run minecraft and every game I'd be okay with him playing from my steam account at 4k.
A student lied to his mother and told her I told him he has a face only a mother could love. She called the district to complain about me, claiming I'm targeting him, so of course they run to investigate. Principal had to drag the truth out of him, but he eventually admitted it was a student who said that to him, not me. This is also the same boy who threatened to stab another boy in the neck with a sharpened pencil, and instead of calling the police I went to him and made him give me the weapon, then I called his mother to come get him before he walked home and finished the fight he was trying to have. I reported this to the school of course, and they asked me to downplay it and omit the worst of it cause it'll follow him to college even and they want to give him a chance. I acquiesced, against my better judgement, and mom knows that too. I've gone out of my way to give this boy a new chance every day to go down a better path in life, and every day he lets me down.
I honestly feel so betrayed. I've been so patient with this kid and his family, never holding a grudge and giving him a brand new chance every single day to start making the right decisions. Not only does he literally not care, not only does he choose every day to do the wrong thing purposefully, but now mom is enabling him and coming after me when I've gone out of my way to make sure he doesn't have a record that follows him the rest of his life.
I'm really on the edge of washing my hands of him and letting him earn his place as a statistic. It breaks my heart cause I want nothing but the best for my kids, but mom literally catches him lying to her all the time and even now she wants to drag me through the mud knowing full well what her son is like. Fuck my life man. This is why educators are so jaded and over it.

If I cannot deprive other campers of Fafnir claims, I must deprive the football players of eligibility.
to the best of my knowledge the only athlete i ever made ineligible was a track runner

Yooo my Union has been talking about getting the DC council to approve our raises since I got hired back in February. Got a notice two days ago that it was finally done, read the notice and it was a 3% raise for 2024, 3% raise for 2025, and 3% raise for the current FY2026. Checked my salary and sure enough I just got a 9% raise.

nice
supposedly at my municipal job next year I’m getting a 10k raise once I complete a certain certification (this I know is happening, have it in writing), but the township is also increasing their annual raise from 3 to 4 percent, and all management positions are getting a 2-5k raise on top of that based on what their current pay is (I should be at the top end). looking forward to it
My little lad just hit 200 dojos for his silver star. This is the year he's gonna get a gold star on his tie!
