It's fine. The Rock is legitimately quite good in it but looking at the movie as a whole it's nothing special.

You just suck at it. Carbonated water is carbonated water. Buy the better syrups and most people won't know the difference.

Without ever owning or looking up how sodastream works, there are levels of how well carbonation is done for what you're making. Based on how much carbonation and the temperature of the water at infusion. Probably really easy to get pepsi right if they have a syrup. I suspect it would be significantly harder to get coke right, unless you prefer fountain soda coke over cans and glass bottles, which is apparently a thing some people prefer.
