I suspect it would be significantly harder to get coke right, unless you prefer fountain soda coke over cans and glass bottles, which is apparently a thing some people prefer.
    It's due to McDonalds and their deal with Coke that created a custom fountain system that ices the water as you dispense, so it's extra cold with the ice you put in. If you go to a another fastfood place and skip the ice and just get the soda, it's not nearly as cold and tastes like shit.

    Eh, still not big on coke from the fountain. Not that I drink a lot of coke anymore. I do drink about one or two cans of these a day though. The ginger beer, lemon and peach are pretty good. Elderflower can be overpowering sometimes. Pineapple sucks shit, and I avoid everything cherry or rhubarb flavored. I guess if I got a sodastream I could make mine out of fruit juices and sparkling water.

    You're tempting me to go back to McDonalds. I remember their fountain Coke was so good.

    To add to this. I know some people in my family that buy drinks in bulk like I do but will keep them out in the garage. While visiting family I have seen uncles and aunts fill a glass full of ice then go get a warm Diet Coke. Melts half the ice immediately and they sit there and drink a watery coke! Idk what the fuck is wrong with them. ^^;

    I don't watch much TV, so on that list, only Breaking Bad. Working on FMA: Brotherhood though.

    I've seen the Wire, AoT, and Brotherhood. Highly recommend AoT if you haven't seen it.

    I'm going to go ahead and type out my ultimate soda tips for at home enjoyment.

    Buy in cans. Carbonation in cans lasts much longer.

    Look at the date. If say it's April 2026 and the sell date on the cans is May 2026 don't buy it. They are really old.

    Put the cans in the refrigerator on the bottom shelf. A fridge is a bit colder in the bottom because of course cold air sinks.

    Buy a stainless steel double wall mug. Yeti is good but expensive. There are other ones now that work just as well.

    Get some ice trays and sacrifice one or two of your sodas by freezing them.

    Finally add your soda ice cubes to your mug, pour in your ice cold drink and relax.

    Drink will not get watered down and will stay ice cold all day.

    It amused me to no end finding out in person that the stereotype of them always carrying around baguettes is absolutely true.

    I’m willing to forgive the French for a lot of stuff this year for giving us Expedition 33
