I think I'm further in FFIII now than I've ever made it before and the Pixel Remaster is a lot more fun with the 4x JP boost turned on. Get an encounter down to 1 enemy, switch everyone to guard/defend, turn on auto battle and let it run for a minute. Come back and get 4 levels.

eliminating the grind is like eliminating chewing your food. sure you’re still getting the nutrition, but you are missing out on the flavor and experience

Ehh, the first 30min of grind is forgiven. Anything more is overkill and I'm okay with skipping however you can. And they're only allowed one grind session per 2-3hrs of gameplay.
