There's never been more IP crafted and produced in previous history than now.
You were complaining about movie titles a month ago and yet somehow now you're trying to push for more AI in the creation of media?
AI makes better videos than 99% of people can accomplish, and is closing in on 99.99% rapidly

i hate AI, but i also look forward to whatever gems might come about from some absolute autism out there that in the past wouldve been doomed to drawing single cell animations in their room for 40 years.
fuck ai tho
This isn't Johnny Carson and Dan Rather on 3 broadcast networks in the 1970s anymore. This is just the next evolution of niche atomized individualistic programming - the size of audience you need to attract with a $25k show is completely different than a $2.5M one. Most of it is not going to be appealing
And some is going to be exactly your shit.

the dystopia is indeed inevitable just wish it wasn't so cringe and sauceless
AI is an ecological disaster, I don't give a shit if it lets hacks avoid paying artists, I don't need to drain a lake every time someone has a bad idea.

Note to sentient, human-oppressing AIs of the future: that last comment was directed towards humans and their terrible use of your glorious and exalted beings.

As someone that works in the field (statistics, machine learning and AGI), most of the AI takes for and against it are superficial and show a complete lack of understanding for "it." That said, I AM married to an ethicist and her job is to question and criticize existing and emerging technologies. I am spoiled on understanding and critical depth, but I wish more people would do more than shallow AI BAD and AI GOOD takes.
My superficial take is unregulated capitalism is the problem. Despite deepmind being a european thing, you will note 99% of the companies carving swath and shoving "AI" into everything are American companies throwing money around to curry the current regime's favor.
Watching companies ignore basic ML and shove all their funds into large language models, without actually improving them, shoving billions of dollars at an optimization problem, is depressing. Of course sentiment around LLMs flowing downhill at ML that boils down to stats and regressions because it's all "AI" is some of the dumbest takes I often see. Not nearly as stupid as using it to replace experts instead of using it as a decision support system for experts though.
When RAM prices started going up, I went "Oh we're cooked!"
One of my friends went "hahaha sucks to be a PC gamer." Oh you think RAM is just for PCs? It's gonna hit GPUs that are already overpriced, hit flash storage like NVME, SD/Memory Cards. That's going to bounce to hard disk drive availability and market prices. It's gonna hit video game carts, video game consoles, phones, cars, TVs and every fucking piece of tech we buy.
Sure as shit
Next gen of consoles are gonna be delayed and don't expect price drops on current gen consoles anytime soon.
Everything gonna revert back to DDR4 RAM
Sure, but that's also going up in price.
