We watched Simpsons last night too for the first time in years. Homer and Marge sounding so different and aged was jarring. It was all the wifey and I talked about throughout the whole episode.

I think they said to some effect that retiring side characters would be more in the spirit of the show as opposed to recasting. It's why they got rid of Apu.

On one hand, if the AI bullshit results in long term inability to generally buy PCs/Consoles, you could get a rise in PC Baangs and game lounges.
