We're not lol. It's supposed to be on AHCI. We probably get 1-2 tickets a week from the bios just randomly going to raid after updates.

Despite dell being crap, they are better than hp. As to the question, I'm not sure if it's a dell thing or windows thing, but randomly we've had people's laptops have their WiFi card completely disappear and won't return without a bios update.

Otherwise if I had my way, we'd only update as necessary. But between the two of them, we essentially have to load the dell command update software which allows the pushing of driver and firmware updates without being logged into an administrator account, which also makes our lives easier when the user is remote.

My son just got his winter MAP (standardized test) scores in. It's a computer-adaptive test that 6th-12th graders take.

He got a 239 in math and a 239 in reading.

Uh Archi… I am sorry to tell you but that’s not how to read NWEA scores.

The numbers don’t go up for the grades. The same way a kid in 1st can get a 95/100 on their reading test, but you can’t compare it to an 11th grader who also got a 95/100 on their reading test.

The numbers do go up for the grades, the median 12th grader scores a 228 math vs a 210 median 6th grader. It's a computer adaptive test.

I'm comparing raw scores, not percentile for the grade.
