I still WFH today thanks to the pandemic. Not looking forward to when I inevitably look for a new job
my covid time was more the exception- i never stopped going to work. it was a brutal grind then.
several years later i found a remote+travel hybrid role, i had never wfh'd before. yall are right. it is sweet to chill with your dog
For the first time I saw a show that actually addressed COVID as being a thing that happened, and that was jarring and I realized that once we went back to normal, media just was like, “fuck it we will never speak on this again.”
just heard from admin this morning that im getting a 13k raise in may that will also be retro to the start of the year
maybe i actually will buy a switch
Lemme borrow tree fiddy
Hell yeah people in academics getting paid
nope, this is my soul crushing municipal job
but we gotta pad those pension numbers
on the academic front I’ve been teaching at a satellite campus which is now closing (im assuming this is trumps fault somehow) so in the fall my 5ish minute commute to that campus has turned into a 30 minute commute to the main campus
thanks obamna or something
yesterday it was 80 degrees
today it is currently snowing
cool
u have 13k to buy both a sweater and one of those antebellum Southern plantation lady hand fans while muttering i do declare
lol
You can always tell how much a southern woman hates another by how many adjectives she includes between “bless her” and “heart”
there's a Mad Men line of them having 'more failed artists and intellectuals than the Third Reich' which always made me laugh. fascism has indeed historically been built around those who failed advancement through traditional metrics, the ultimate grievance politics to legitimize failure and mobilize losers.
shoulda won World War 1 Germany instead of crying for a redo where you got whomped even harder
I found Demo's burner FB account

Never seen a single episode, but honestly, yes a million times. I feel exactly like that dude does. I'm not even a tiddies dude, but for Kat Dennings, I am.
