killed all 3 Ubers in under 30 seconds so yeah, probably needs a nerf

Let me just preface this by saying overrated doesn't mean I hate it. I actually really liked it. It just wasn't the 10/10 holy shit amazing game that it felt like it was being tagged with. And like others, avoided duplicates. That was tough.



I'm actually surprised Xno didn't set it as his overrated as well lol. For different reasons of course.

I put Golden Eye in best with friends because the multiplayer kicked ass in the era of split screen couch gaming, but I have to give it to Brood War for multiplayer generally in terms of having such perfect balance for 20+ years.

Funny thing is I only give multiplayer to WC3:TFT over Starcraft:BW because the custom maps were vastly improved and birthed the modern MOBA genre.

Starcraft and Civ 2 were the two games I lost myself in the most before my college years. Could have thrown in Tetris for Nostalga as well for how stupid competitive it was in high school fighting for high scores on TI-89s

THQ bought the rights and put out a remastered version in 2020 and made new DLC for it the following year.

Well DotA actually started as Aeon of Strife, which was a StarCraft custom map, so you can technically give StarCraft some of the credit for that.

But yeah it is sad to see how far Blizzard has fallen as a studio.

DOTA is def the best known and most influential but the Warcraft 3 mp mod scene is basically unprecedented in vidya history. along with inventing/popularizing MOBAs and tower defenses they ported fuckin Clue and Risk in almost wholesale. zombie modes, duel modes, extensive RP modes. prolly a dozen others I've forgotten about.

Dclone popped the other day and I took my fresh off clearing hell cleavelock with a nightmare level unique club with crushing blow and prevent monster heal and destroyed it lol
