Reminds me of how surprised I was that Nolan's 2nd bat movie wasn't "bad", but the the pendulum swung extra hard to horrendous for that 3rd movie.

I remember that first Transformers movie. That was THE "Potential: The Movie™" movie. By itself it was dogshit, but was a perfectly solid launching point for what could potentially be a great series of movies. Except they were all as bad or worse.

Speaking of, has any one watched GoldenEye recently? I haven't since 95. Is it horrendous and actually as bad as the rest of the Brosnan movies? Is Skyfall the only good Bond movie since the 60s? No, Casino Royale isn't a Bond movie. It lacked everything that made Bond, well, Bond. I don't give a shit if it's supposed to be an origin story.
