I’m kind of the opposite in that I don’t understand how younger gamers are absolute shit at some of the most basic games I used to crush as a kid. I’m talking bad like, dying to the first Goomba in SMB 1-1 type bad.

They're dumber on average as a generation.

I'm still in shock at how I was able to beat some of the old school games as a kid. Ninja Gaiden is some bullshit back then and now.

Don't conflate bad design with good game though. Fundamentally, games have changed (for the better). Playing Super Mario Wonder raw (IE without helper shit) is just as tough as the first SMB game just the game has been ironed out. That said, Nintendo themselves weren't known for bullshit-ass game overs and deaths on their console games. If your console game was attempting to be a 1:1 conversion of an arcade game (or they were using arcade sensibilities), there's a 90% it's bad because it was designed to eat coins. Basically, don't let anyone trick you into thinking Ninja Gaiden is a good game.

Not a particularly scary episode. More humor than scare. No monsters, or aliens crawling up inside people's bodies but I have always found it.. very unnerving.
