threads is the worst social media(?) i have ever interacted with in my life. maybe its because i have no algo on it but every time i do find myself accidentally clicking on it from instagram and have a look around it is either the stupidest of humanity or an entire platform whos engagement relies on ragebait. literally the last thing i saw was a 1000+ reply thread about how come white people don't wash their chicken with soap.

i follow no one on it and never really use it so maybe thats why its like that, but for now if i scroll it is nothing but blatantly prompted AI written ragebait to the point it feels like the entire app is made up only of bots outside of verified accounts.

Honestly they had no excuse to make it as bad as it is. Bluesky and mastodon existed before it and it is somehow worse than both.

It probably is your algorithm because you haven’t interacted. I see like .001% ragebait on my feed.

It does require you replying to people. If you are just there to make your own posts you’ll see that your posts don’t get views, but if you reply to other people’s posts then suddenly yours will get views.

Instagram keeps taking Ls everytime they try to do something that is NOT IG. Threads was a massive failure. Instants were dead within a day when people realized it was just a less fun SnapChat. And not being able to integrate audio from IG crossposted to FB (despite them both being META platforms) is such a stupid annoyance.

Very hard. It took me a bit to figure out, but like I said if you aren’t interacting with people your posts get zero views.

But also you can tailor it and tell it what you want to see more of or less of.

I finally found something at Culver’s I don’t like.

Each time I visit I am intrigued by the beef pot roast sandwich, but always end up getting a burger instead because the burgers are so good. Well today I took the leap of faith and got the beef pot roast sandwich. And it was not good. I think my disappointment hinges on my definition of pot roast wildly differentiating from Culver’s definition. When I think pot roast, I think extremely tender shredded beef, gravy, potatoes, carrots, onions. Their definition is a dry shaved beef sandwich with optional bbq or horseradish sauce. DISAPPOINTING. I also got their side of mashed potatoes & gravy to match the meal and their gravy was so bland. It wasn’t brown or even the white sawmill gravy. It was a super light turkey gravy if I had to guess based on the flavor. Potatoes also needed a lot more butter.

I’ll stick to the burgers at Culver’s.

Culvers really only gets the burgers right, and even then you certainly can find better ones. I'd rather eat sandwiches at Arby's and that says a lot.
