Upside for California - the lack of toll roads in 98% of the state. Exceptions are bridges, Orange County, and some mishmash of HoV/toll lanes in Los Angeles.
Learned something interesting about Walgreens inter-office relationship policy (this could also be a win depending on your morals), Walgreens doesn't have one. There used to be one, but after it came to light that the CEO had an inter-office mistress who also held stock in the company, the CEO dropped the policy.
There has been some drama at my location of coworkers who have been dating, but one of them decided they needed space and transferred to another location. Now the coworker who was left behind and their friends have created a toxic work environment. I checked in with the boss for clarification. While it is discouraged, it's very much allowed to date your coworker.
I thought Amazon's policy on that was as reasonable as you could get in a big company. You can date anyone in the company as long as you aren't in each others' direct management chain. So person A can't be responsible for promotions/raises/etc for person B. And HR wasn't allowed to date people in the assigned organization they supported.
I don't think I'm ever going to buy a Samsung TV again. >_<;
I have two. One big top of the line I got last year to go with my modest home theater/music setup and one smaller that is for console gaming mostly and maybe watch sports, a show.. They are both 4k and look great (calibrated them myself) but here is the problem: They keep updating the firmware by themselves! I have it disabled but it does it anyway. The UI seems to get clunkier everytime this happens. It is a known issue but they seem to have done nothing about it for a long time.
Ok, I'll get to what made me really mad. Yesterday the smaller one updated and it's the exact version a lot of people said fucked up HDR in games for them. I haven't had time to test it yet but I'm going to be so pissed off of it affected this model.

Since November, I've had nothing but issues on my CPAP supply deliveries.
I have it sent to work due to porch pirates with no issues till now. Here's how it's gone down.
Delivery Nov 25th. Office closed, signs saying all deliveries to third floor and door is locked. Left outside and stolen. Had to reorder.
Order in February. Missing two cushions and filters. re-order gets delivered on a Saturday, left outside and stolen again.

So, I had ACL reconstruction yesterday. Before surgery, the surgeon felt there was a ~10% chance I had torn my medial meniscus, but he wanted to be prepared just in case. Well, turned out that other than my PCL, the whole interior was shredded. ACL gone. Medial meniscus gone. Lateral meniscus gone. Not great. Now, I'll be on crutches for 6 weeks, unable to put any weight on my right leg. I will also be restricted to bending my leg no more than 90° for the next 6 weeks. For the next 2 days, my leg stays locked in full extension. It is absolutely miserable. The pain is almost unbearable. It is impossible to get comfortable. The boredom is crushing. Knowing how much this is going to heap onto my wonderful wife is depressing. She took some bulk off my dressing earlier today so I could ice my knee more effectively, and I just broke down crying. Going to be a fun 6 weeks.
Agh I'm sorry
That's horrible dude, sorry that's happening to you. I hear they got pills for that pain

I have Percocets. Honestly, the THC vape is helping more. I just kinda...forget I'm hurting lol.
Good lord. That really sucks I'm so sorry man.
Just stay on the THC if you can. Perc/Oxy has it's own bad side effects once you stop after you have been taking it for a while. I speak from experience but I'm sure you know.

Fuuuuuck man.
Melena; OUCH. I hate porch pirates, hopefully you can find another way to foil'em.
As for me; More fun with the mailman! He left a package by the wrong door again; you gamers are going to hate this. It was a repaired gun for 'Neko's Playchoice 10! (If you don't realize what that is, it's basically a arcade version of a NES Zapper Light Gun.) At least it wasn't raining; if this happens again I'm going to get a deck box and put a "Put Packages In Here" sign on it. We don't have porch pirates, I'm more worried about weather.
Amazon delivery people behave on this so if they just leave the packages on the porch we're good, tho.
Yeah my deliveries go to work to avoid them. Issue has been an idiot delivery driver that can't read signs saying deliveries to third or second floor only, do not leave shit outside or in the lobby.
Never have the problem if it's Fed Ex. Hell my Transformers the Movie Snarl figure went out for delivery yesterday and fed ex flagged it as business closed, re-deliver on next business day.

Sounds like at my house. There's a sign on the side door that says, "Do NOT leave packages by this door! Put them on the PORCH!"
This makes the FOURTH time in about 6 months we've gotten a package that they put by the side door. As I said, our enemy is not porch pirates, here. It's weather. Rain can ruin a package, and that's why if this continues, I'm thinking bout the deck box idea. (Mainly b/c one of my brothers gets big ones sometimes. Need some room.) Postmen are seriously overworked the way I understand it, and sometimes they're so shorthanded their bosses want the route done LAST WEEK! Maybe that's why they won't go up the stairs for you or don't read, they're in too big a hurry. Tho that doesn't excuse that.
Try contacting the post office via the mail form, put your phone number there and tell them you want to be called. That's the easiest way to catch a live human that I've found; and I've had better luck talking to a live person to solve this kind of issue. Of course, be polite, don't cuss at the person on the line, and lay it out. It should stop for a while until you get a new postman. (Sometimes the newbies just start the crud up again. Bleh.)
Tho if you're really annoyed, I think the last resort option is to rent a post office box and have the company send your CPAP supplies there. (I think that's the equal to my deck box idea for packages.)
You should consider using a Smart Locker.

No additional charge. Amazon also does this.

I never saw a need for that where I am since as I keep saying, it's weather that is the enemy here. But I hope that'll help Melena; having your crap stolen is awful. Especially CPAP supplies.
Porch pirates in general piss me off.
got fired over work politics. We work for a subcontractor so we always work for her clients. Her client has a personal issue w/ my boss so she targetted her top 2 earners and yeeted us on the same day over shit anyone else woulda just got a warning for
