My favorite incident was when someone moved a folder into another directory and, noticing their mistake, copied it back to the original location without cleaning up. That folder was the media folder containing terabytes of video and audio files. There's nothing quite like receiving Splunk alerts about drives filling up in the middle of the day and trying to figure out how a 10TB drive suddenly reached capacity.
I've been sick for almost 12 days and not seeing improvement despite an ER visit , a clinic visit and Xrays to rule our pneumonia.
Started with a sore throat almost two weeks ago , which I still have and is not getting better. Tonsils inflamed , they thought tonsilitis at ER and gave me 10 days antibiotics. Strep negative , Covid PCR and rapids negative x 10. Cough started 4 days later and been hacking up yellow phlegm for a week. Just take ibuprofen and use your inhalers , we don't know whats wrong but in six months your tonsils still have issues we *might* consider removing them.
The fuck..? Oh and tomorrow is my birthday so once again I am sick on it just like last year lol.

I had these exact symptoms. They lasted over a month. I thought maybe I had back to back infections and mistook them for one long one, but who knows. I suffered a lot of tonsillitis as a child, but the docs didn't want to give me antibiotics because all the testing was negative. I'm just now almost over it, but now my wife started with the same slow creep of symptoms that won't go away.
Swear to God it's covid related lol. Maybe long covid or something.

Last night was by far the worst. I suffered through dinner as it felt like knives were stabbing my throat and noticed an odd small pencil eraser sized red bump behind my right tonsil , which also look pale again/slightly white. Ibuprofen is the only thing keeping the pain down. Like you I felt like it was maybe back to back infections. But taking days to weeks to get in person appointments with Kaiser is really mucking things up.
I had chronic ear infections and sick most of my life from age 3 to 16 with antibiotics thrown at me left and right , and I am deathly allergic to penicillin. So I really try not to go in now unless it's bad. It's ao frustrating.

Why not just do a phone care visit with Kaiser, get them to give you antibiotics, and see if it works?
I should have clarified abouve I went to the ER on July 1st and they thought I had tonsillitis so they did a round of antibiotics which I finished recently. It never relieved the symptoms so I went back for a clinic visit this past Tuesday and basically said that it's just a virus and to wait it out and if in 6 months I still have tonsil pain/sore throat they may cosnwider other tests. Chest xray ordered was clear as well. Sometimes it takes over a week just to get a phone visit and mine won't prescribe antibiotics over the phone typically to begin with unfortunately.

There is a trick to getting quick appointments with kaiser.
When people cancel appointments, the slot is released at midnight. Go online just after midnight and try to book then. This is what my doc told me to do, and it nearly always works.
I don't typically care to have an in person visit, so most of the time I do video or phone visits at 7AM when the queue opens. 10-60min wait most of the time, then I walk over for lab tests/prescriptions if necessary.
Could have a video visit to see if they will hit you with a different class of antibiotics, but they are probably right that it is viral and you just have to wait it out. Viral... or cancer! Almost any symptoms could always be cancer.
Okay, now have I got a doozy of a car fail for you;
I wake up this morning to go to the gym, and I overhear Neko talking to USAA..turned out a deer had gone suicidal on him and managed to get in the way of his bumper before he got to the freeway this morning. I can get pics of the damage but; neither me or Neko like Bambi or Rudolph right now. Tore up a bumper AND one fender, geez.
They've always been around, we've seen them, Neko is usually better about NOT hitting them, but it had to be the day before Southern Fried Game Expo that he didn't see the one that hit him..
I despise phone and video calls. You cannot hear my chest , wheezing , inspect my throat that now has an odd bump on my tonsil I've never had before , etc. We don't have queues , we have you have to schedule a specific time and HOPE the doctor calls on time, it's been 35 minutes early to an hour late. Even those are typically 4 days to two weeks out.
No matter how many times I call , because there are literally no appointments for weeks within a 25 mile radius , they just send steroids to the pharmacy and tell me to use my inhalers. I had about 15 coughing fits from 730am to 430pm at work, used my inhaler 10 times ( 2 puffs each time). Predisone fucks me up to the point I shale so bad I can't drive or type for work and also wrecks my stomach.
They left me a voicemail to take a picture of the bump I see because it might be a hemorrhage due to coughing (their specific words on voicemail they left) but can't fit me in to be seen in person. Thats fine I'm at the point I hope it is serious so I can fucking raise hell about their ignorance.

Dang lol
I am with Kaiser in the DC area and I can urgent care and be seen in an hour most of the time or schedule a day or two out as long as I don't care which GP I get. Sounds like CA isn't staffed as well.
They are criminally understaffed, yes.
Fuck my life. Boss messaged everyone on teams to be onsite tomorrow.
Crowdstrike end point security pushed an update that is making computer's blue screen loop.
RIP all IT workers tonight/tomorrow

Wow, i'm getting e-mails about it too. Lucky for me, non of my stuff uses it.
It is a worldwide issue, several planes grounded, trains running off schedule.
Heard banks, healthcare institutes, stock markets etc are having issues as well.
Apparently it is related to Microsoft Azure.
Microsoft fucked up and I have a full day today. Christ.
BSOD workstations in my office. Can't do shit.
edit - I shut down my workstation each day. So the update didn't hit my workstation. I likely have the only functioning workstation in my entire office/lab of 500+ people.
