Had a meeting with the boss this morning because something I said yesterday cause a fist fight to break out between two of my coworkers. I don't know what I said, my boss won't repeat what I said and to whom. I know who fought and I know they've been itching to find a reason to have it out between each other, but I had to sign an agreement to stop talking to them for the foreseeable future. I just wish I knew what I had said so I can better myself to not repeat it in the future.

That's bullshit if they're accusing you, making you sign a statement and contract that you won't talk to them, but won't tell you what they said. Absolute nonsense

Unless you said, 'That guy slept with your wife,' I can't think of any reason two grown adults should be throwing hands at work.

It's between two ladies who have very stressful lives outside of work and have chosen to nitpick each other on their job performance. They used to get along, but one of them feels like the other stole her hours and things have fallen off since. One lady who has been there for a few years longer than myself had accepted another job offer, but stayed on in a limited capacity. The other woman was given her shift, mornings, for a few months. The lady who had accepted the other job eventually quit that one for health reasons (she was the head of a daycare for Ecolab and was sick all the time) and came back full time. Because of seniority and the other woman's flexible schedule, she was given her original shift back and the other woman had to work nights once more. So instead of taking issue with the boss, she has taken the brunt of her ill will out on the woman who got her job back. That's the backstory. I guess the fight had happened while I was working, but I had no knowledge of it.

Resentment grows as people keep it inside until they just cannot. Fist fight at workplace is a sign of a huge anger management/emotional control problem, whatever you've said it's not your fault that's a very BS excuse of them and easy way out for manager rather than facing the problem properly.

So this is kinda a doozy..

I bought a Pixel 8 not long after release. I told my Mom about buying it and she insisted I stay on the, "family plan" because it costs less to add another line than to get a separate account. (I am still on their account. ^^; W/e I pay her back) When I got the phone I traded in my old one for credit and paid the remaining balance right then and there. That's what to remember..

I paid for the phone outright.

So she called me yesterday now and told me that long time ago she noticed the bill had gone up a little bit. She called them and even went to the Verizon store and they told her the same thing. "Prices have just gone up. Sorry." That was a big fat lie!! It turns out they put me on a financing plan and have been taking money out of the account as if I had never paid for the phone. They said they have no record of me trading in a phone or paying for the Pixel! But I do!! I have the receipts and bank statements to prove it! They also said I owe extra money in fees, etc. I feel like going into Verizon and punching someone. I hope I don't have to get a lawyer involved. >_<

My 2yo kiddo got diagnosed with Autism last week. That's not the fail...

My MIL, who's psychopathy has been detailed here, told my wife that nicotine patches have been shown to be beneficial. This is a woman that watches my kid. I told her that I'd be buying cotinine tests and if they came back positive, I'd have her arrested for child endangerment.

I then told my wife that I do not want her around me or my children (from 1st marriage) to see her again until she's in a casket, which means she will never attend another holiday with us.

What's really sad is that my wife and I have close to 20 years of work experience in healthcare, and 12 years of post-secondary education. I am literally licensed to evaluate and diagnose ASD and prescribe medications for comorbidities.

I once had a friend ask me if I thought her young kid had autism. I told her that being licensed and being qualified are different. Autism isn't my bag, I'm not qualified to give her an accurate assessment.

If she were to ask my MIL, a retiree of JC Penny's after a long cashier career, she'd claim to know everything about diagnosing and all the things which should be done.

To experience that level of Dunning-Kruger as an actual provider in the field is fucking terrifying me for children of people like this.

That is super scary. Glad you are keeping your kiddo safe. Also glad you got an early diagnosis. We just recently got our son diagnosed ADHD after absolutely struggling for years thinking we were just not parenting correctly. It has been a game changer. He is extremely smart but has extreme anger issues. We just recently convinced him to try medication to help as we were still struggling at home and he finally agreed after a year of working the conversation. I feel like if we had a diagnosis earlier in his life we could have done so much better for him.

My wife's ultrasound came back as likely fibroadenoma but the Dr said they were concerned about some blood flow to the lump so a little bit of a relief but that came with more uncertainty. Now they want to do MRI with contrast prior to biopsy. Also because of high risk and very dense tissue genetic testing and ultrasound or 3d xray every 6 months.

On a positive note, I'm assuming that your insurance company now gets to pay for your at-risk wife to have frequent, early screenings. Annoying, but significantly less annoying than a late stage diagnosis.

Yeah our insurance kinda sucks but at least its there. Hopefully my wife gets a job at the hospital then we can get really good insurance. Or at least better than what we have right now.

I'm happy to acknowledge my limitations as a provider. ASD is one of them. So, I did look into it. It's inconclusive, definitely not consistent, at possibly reducing symptoms of aggression in adults with severe autism.

It's highly inconclusive, because it's absurd to use nicotine patches when a drug called varenicline exists and not only that there's a decent reason nicotine would work... But there's like 400 other drugs that would be better to use and this is just a grab for NRT companies to push their shit on kids.

This isn't a you limitation Tyche, this is bad medicine.

Desoxyn is great for ADHD but we don't go giving meth to kids because it "chills them out".
