Not that I'm wishing ill on my mom, but if something does happen, the first thing I'm doing is kicking my nephew and his ho out complete with police escort. I'm just so fucking tired of their shit.

When I get unknown 2FA or unknown login notifications, I will pull network logs to double check if the kids got into something they were not supposed to. I was reviewing DNS queries, which AI is fucking great for, and a site from my 15yr old's tablet caught my eye.
And that's how I learned what else AI is good for. Unblurring JAV porn.
One of those angry/proud parental moments.
Saw my first Christmas commercial of the season yesterday, September 7th. Ugh.
Just realized I have three different work/social obligations for Halloween that will involve wearing a costume (one pre Halloween, one on actual Halloween, one post Halloween) and as much as I’d like to go lazy and wear the same costume to each one it will probably be ruined with smoke and alcohol almost immediately.
I throw a blowout Halloween house party every year. Far and away my favorite season of the year. I'm super excited about my costume this year.

The one liners in that show... my god, it was so bad it was good.
Guy breaks everything he touches.
So, I assembled a new medicine cabinet last week. I can't mount it to the wall because it's too heavy with my current shoulder injury. He finally gets around to it today because who the fuck knows what was stopping him before. Anyway, I tell him before he mounts it, "Take the mirror off. It will fall if it's tilted to an angle." If you guessed that he didn't and we now have a shattered mirror, you win.
I'm tired. -.-
https://www.cnn.com/2025/09/16/busin...rs-lose-prizesFor nearly 60 years, Publishers Clearing House had been known for changing individuals’ lives, fulfilling their dreams with prize money it promised would keep coming for as long as they lived.
But now the company is in bankruptcy, and winners’ dreams have turned into nightmares. ARB Interactive, a mobile gaming company that bought PCH’s remaining assets, said that under the terms of the sales agreement it would not honor payouts for those who won their life-changing prizes before July 15th of this year.
Some winners, who thought they’d never have to work again, are now finding themselves uncertain of how they’ll pay their bills
“This feels like a nightmare. I thought this was going to go on for the rest of my life, so I didn’t really have to worry about money,” John Wyllie told CNN affiliate KGW.
Wyllie, 61, of Bellingham, Washington, had been promised $5,000 a week for life. Now he’s looking for a new job, but he’s not hopeful, since he hasn’t worked for more than 10 years. He is currently living on the proceeds of sales of some of his prized possessions, like a jet ski and a trailer.
But Wylie said he had no idea the company was even in trouble until his annual check for $260,000 didn’t show up, as expected, in January.
Always take the lump sum

This is even worse since Her Highness was counting on Publisher's Clearing House to solve some problems around here and would enter every night. I was all, contests don't solve anything and when she died, I stopped. I was right; it wouldn't of solved anything.
Man, my job that I've been at for the last 15ish years is going through a rough time.
We're losing employees at a light speed pace. We're like 10 people under (of about an office of 60) and it's getting to the point where they're just dog piling work on top of the remaining managers. (I'm a manager)
The deputy directors above me don't do anything to change their outlook and managing of the office, so it just keeps coming. I'm expecting another 2-3 employees will have left by the end of the month. We're all drowning with no relief in sight.
I do what I can and at the end of the day just go home. If they want to fire/write me up, at this point, go ahead. I can live on unemployment for a while, while applying for new jobs.
I don't have time for the whole job search thing while employed. It's like 3-4 interviews if you can even get a human to look at your resume. It's exhausting, so I'd rather deal with what I know
Sounds like they have the budget for a raisewhy are people quitting?

I clearly need to go back to kindergarten to learn right from left
Late last night I dropped something down the sink in the bathroom. No biggie, I'll pop the p trap off in the morning, wash it as it's probably filthy and needs it anyways
Go to remove it, damn thing won't budge. Grab my adjustable wrench, too small. Order a larger one at Walmart with a 1.5" jaw. Still too small.
Return that and run to harbor freight. Get home and get to twisting and this thing is acting like it's super glued in. Admit defeat, call apartment maintenance
They get over here a few hours later. My brain was dumb and my left was right for the screw as I'm sitting in front of it, not behind it.
15 minutes later all done...
Plus side is I now know another basic plumbing maintenance truck.

turnbuckles will have both normal threading and reverse threading, and half the time manufacturing puts in on backwards, leaving it to the field personnel to figure it out on the fly and avoid breaking a mirror
we think we're a manufacturing company but we are not
