One time I was almost late and to threw on all my shit and right when I was about to leave the door, I realized it was Saturday and I wasn't on duty. I was mad at myself.

First company I worked for out of college never had Columbus Day off. Second year.i was working there I went to my field office and was there until 2:30 when my boss called me and said he went to the main office and it was closed. I had already committed to meeting someone at 3 so I was there all day on a day off.

I am so mentally exhausted after working 40 hours a week in what is basically a mental psychological ward but with inmates.

I have my own mental health serious issues so it's starting to exhaust me. I'm also too stubborn to go to my Sergeant and ask for a different assignment because I see that as weakness.

Rear bearings are making a loud buzzing/humming sound. Got a guy to look at it first thing this morning. Pulled up and the shop looks closed, though it is 27F outside so maybe just keeping everything shut. Walk up to the door and there's a sign that says they're opening at 10:30 on Wednesday November 19 due to not having heat at home.

I'm guessing they mean today, Nov 17 considering there hasn't been a Nov 19 in 7 years... Confused and dejected, I am now back home until 10:30.

I had an issue many years ago where the entertainment center was cracked and they didn't have anything for exchange, so I had to return everything and was in the same boat. Call the store manager, explain the situation and they'll send a delivery crew down to pick it up for you.

When they drop off the replacement they'll pick up the old one.

I just had 3 450lb dining room table sets returned and redelivered over several months because they kept coming in damaged.

FML, just found out I'm losing my solo office and moving down with the other IS people on the 2nd floor to consolidate.

GF wasn't feeling well in the past days so went to the clinic and sent her to the Hospital ER, after loads of test, the results came

She has blood clot in her blood which causes her lots of pulmonary embolism and in exchange it weakens her heart, I wasn't allowed to spend the night with her, so now im stuck at home 'sleeping' while she's alone at the hospital.

We have no idea if its life threatening, we should know more after she sees a specialist hopefully today

We have 2 kids together 2 year and 6 month, and the scary though of possibly losing her scares the shit out of me.

And to add of that, my fucking idiocy parents, werent able to come babysit my 2 kids yesterday, because they had plans for the weekend like going to the Spa and eating at a restaurant (they will be available only Monday) so on top of my GF stress I had to find people to take care of my 2 kids which I had to separate

This is starting to get too much of stress and uncontrolled event in my life for the past 2 years, , we can never seems to get out head out of the water

Speaking from experience. I've had two pulmonary embolism events. The first was a bilateral saddle embolus obstructing flow for both lungs. After clearing it up via blood thinners in the hospital, I was released and on warfarin for about a year. 5 years after the first event, I had a second embolus, not as bad as the first event. They cleared the DVT causing the second with ultrasonic assisted directed heparin. It was in both legs and the "wire" they inserted required me to be immobile below the waist for 2 days each leg. An inferior vena cava filter (think little metal umbrella) was inserted and I'll be on warfarin (or its equivalent) for the rest of my life. It has been 10 years since that second event.

Yes, pulmonary embolism can be deadly, but is manageable if caught and treated properly. There are genealogical tests you may want to push for to determine her predisposition to clots. This can help doctors determine long term treatment.

Doctor said its seems pretty bad for her age, but she didn't seem concerned about her life

She said it seems to be a <bad luck> that she got this, but she needs to take a scan Monday to see how bad it really is and how they will treat it

Mind tends to wander off to the worst case scenario in these cases but keep reminding yourself that its diagnosed and she is getting treatment.

Its much less dangerous when its kept under control.

I know but the though of probably be alone with 2 young kids is scaring me

In a similar situation where I've had very little emotional support I found Daniel Goleman's "Destructive Emotions" and "Emotional Intelligence" books very helpful. They could be somewhat business oriented at times but they allowed me to label what I/my mind was going through and how I could have things under control.

No doubt you are going through a tough time. Fingers crossed for good results on Monday.
