Coworker caught covid on his Vegas trip which was almost two weeks ago, and now I have to give away my Hamilton ticket because there's no one to cover the shift at work. And I get to work on Thanksgiving now.

I've had maybe one cold sore in my entire life. Wonder if some people are just more prone to them ? I remember it was annoying as hell though.

I get them at least once a year, usually twice. They always come as a follow-up to another sickness, or when I'm extra stressed, when my immune system isn't 100%.
Anecdotally speaking, I feel like my outbreaks have been much less severe the past few years after I started taking vitamin C regularly. I started taking it when I would notice symptoms, just in case it would help, then I just started taking it daily because why not. Since then, it's only been once or twice that it broke out into full blown blisters. Usually now it just gets red and angry for a couple days, then starts going away.

Canceled TV services with Comcast and just kept internet and they told me they were sending me a new modem, which my response was my old one’s working just fine and they’re response was that they’re sending a new one free of charge cause it’s newer. Whatever. I was just glad it didn’t take me 3 hours to get off the phone with Comcast for once.

I get the modem and instead of a thin black rectangular modem I now have a big white cube more than twice as thick as the old one. Maybe I’ll just return the new one.

Well, fail is looking to be a far less fail than we were told.

Finally found someone to come look at the camper. Are you ready for this? A pin fell out. That’s it. No whole system failure CW told us. The guy said that CW is well known for exaggerating on stuff they don’t want to repair. The problem with the pin is it requires removing the whole back panel to reach it properly, and he said the CW mechanics won’t do stuff like that. Guy was super nice, and he’s a mobile RV mechanic, which is a bonus that we don’t have to truck the thing to him. so I guess the turning lemons into lemonade factor is that now we have a mechanic on file for any future issues we may have.

This is why second opinions on car or any such vehicle repairs are so important.
