the “wentz wagon” is really the wagon from the holy grail “bring out your dead”

i spent so much time saying the eagles training staff sucks because of all the injuries over the last few years, but clearly wentz is just cursed. we should actually be celebrating the eagles super bowl victory more because of this

apparently they were worried about paralysis but he has regained feeling in his extremities
So slightly unrelated, I actually got perma banned from Twitter since I only use my account for two things. Wario64 notifications, and re-tweet contests, and I got perma'd 2 days after I appealed to have my account suspension overturned and they claimed it was for partaking in retweet and follower boosts. So I'll low key laugh if the Giants end up getting their fan base banned.
A bunch of my friends were somewhere between worried/livid:

But the follow-up SI story just proves the threat isn't real:
https://www.si.com/nfl/2021/08/02/au...m-grift-citiesEven the Austin city council was reportedly unaware that they’ll be used as the equivalent of an Instagrammable rebound date.
Don't listen to anything Austin says. LA local heads denied it for years and then boom.
Didn't the ownership want to test Toronto not long ago?
toronto would be a more successful market than buffalo. that's just a statement of fact at this point, and it's only an hour and half away
bmo field just isn't big enough for the nfl to bother
Buffalo is a dreadful, depressing place. Its like a bomb hit it a century ago and no one ever bothered to clean up.
Wow that's... Shockingly accurate. What a great way to put it.
Excellent place to see a football game.
I understand a significant amount of fans cross the border, so any other team would affect the buffalo fanbase/ticket sales. Although them being better has helped inflate at least.
I've never been to Buffalo, but I was under the impression that it and some of the other upstate NY cities (namely Rochester) had been turning things around in recent years.
Although I imagine the pandemic and its economic hit might have undone a fair amount of that..
Most of upstate NY has never really been that bad, but Buffalo is still pretty shitty.
I have family in Ithaca and Saratoga Springs and enjoy both of them quite a bit
