It's nice that the dolphins continue to fleece teams for draft picks. But...when you gonna actually use those picks lol? Dolphins are already the youngest team in the league. I don't think they have one player over 30 on the roster.

A large contingent of NFL head coaches and general managers descended on Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Tuesday for Alabama’s pro day, which was headlined by quarterback Mac Jones’ throwing workout.

The group included Buffalo GM Brandon Beane, Steelers GM Kevin Colbert and coach Mike Tomlin, Colts GM Chris Ballard and coach Frank Reich and Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy, according to reports.

Not in attendance at the Crimson Tide pro day: Any of the Panthers’ top decision-makers, which stands in contrast with Trey Lance’s pro day this month at North Dakota State, where the “big three” of GM Scott Fitterer, coach Matt Rhule and offensive coordinator Joe Brady all showed up.

In fairness, Rhule and his staff had a week to evaluate and interact with Jones at the Senior Bowl in January, when Rhule had plenty of nice things to say about the Jacksonville native. Plus, Jones is having a second pro day next week, so it could be that the Panthers’ schedule works out better to attend that workout.

The Panthers did have an area scout and secondary coach Jason Simmons at Alabama on Tuesday. Simmons helped run the drills for first-round cornerback prospect Patrick Surtain, who impressed with a 39-inch vertical, a 4.46 40 and an 18-rep showing in the pro (225 pounds) bench press, per the NFL.com report.
